Today I'm launching my crowdfunding appeal on Unbound for my forthcoming book Legends of the Leaf: The story behind 25 iconic houseplants and the secrets to making them thrive. 

I've always wanted to write my own book about houseplants, and now that dream is coming true - but I need your help. Unbound is a publisher that puts the power in YOUR hands to decide if a book should be published, so Legends of the Leaf will only happen if enough people like you back my project.

The cover you see at the top of the email is just a mock-up: the actual pictures in the book will be created by illustrator and screenprinter Helen Entwisle, aka Memo Illustration, whose work I have long admired - her lovely 'On The Ledge' limited edition screenprint is pictured right. One of the pledge levels includes an A3 print of the cover art she'll create especially for the Legends of the Leaf, too!
